Evan has had 43 years experience in valuation including 38 years in private practice. He has acted as a consultant and advisor to Government, territorial local authorities, major commercial organisations and investors. He specialises in litigation as an expert witness, arbitrator and review valuer. Evan's experience includes the valuation of Public Sector Assets including Hospitals and Tertiary Institutions, major assessments of Local Authority and Government property, the valuations of shopping centres, office buildings, industrial and commercial properties on rental, insurance, mortgage and market issues, community-owned property, prime coastal land and high-quality residential property. Evan is Deputy Chairman of the Valuers Registration Board of New Zealand. He is regularly called upon as a speaker at seminars and has contributed both in New Zealand and overseas at conferences. He is an acknowledged specialist on the valuation of buildings affected by leaky building syndrome. He is consulted on the methodology and approaches to be adopted for technical valuation tasks. Evan has given expert evidence over many years before the High Court, District Court, Weathertight Homes Resolution Dispute Tribunal and Land Valuation Tribunal. He regularly assists at mediations and Judicial Settlement Conferences.

Lewis has been active in the valuation of property interests since 1965 with over 35 years in central Auckland. He has experience in valuing all categories of commercial property, including ground rental determinations. Lewis is experienced in rent review arbitrations, insurance valuations, compensation assessments and mortgage security valuations, and provides consultancy services for public authorities, property-owning companies, and family trusts. This consultancy work includes assessing and negotiating rentals, advising on purchase and sales and all matters associated with property ownership.

Trevor has over 21 years experience in the valuation of most classes of urban real estate in the Auckland region. He has acted as an advisor to Government organisations, all of the major Auckland local authorities, large corporations and private investors. Assignments include commercial, industrial, subdivision land and residential property valuations, market research and property advisory work. Valuations include rental reviews, mortgage security valuations, portfolio asset revaluations, market valuations, leasehold valuations and insurance assessments. Trevor specialises in advisory work and valuations for litigation and compensation matters. He has experience in providing valuation impact assessments on specialised uses for Resource Consent applications. He also has experience as an expert witness in the High Court, the Land Valuation Tribunal, and as an arbitrator. Trevor has given presentations on property related issues at conferences.

Ian has wide experience in the valuation of most types of urban real estate, including all facets of commercial, industrial and residential property valuations. This includes rental reviews, mortgage valuations, market valuations and insurance assessments. He has undertaken wide ranging valuation work for the major Auckland local authorities, including acquisitions, disposal of surplus assets including portfolio groupings, and rental valuations in residential, industrial and commercial classes. Ian has specialist experience in valuing reserve/open space zoned land. He also has extensive experience in Public Works Act valuations including acquisitions for roading and other purposes, and valuations of surplus land for disposal.

David commenced his valuation career in 1985 after completing his studies at Auckland University. David has wide experience in most types of urban valuations, including residential, commercial and industrial properties. He has undertaken valuations for mortgage purposes, insurance, rent reviews, asset valuations and negotiations. His clients include most major Auckland lending institutions and a range of corporate and legal clients. David is an Associate of the Arbitrators and Mediators Institute of New Zealand, with experience in rental negotiations for a wide range of clients.

Phil has wide experience in the valuation of most classes of urban real estate since 1990. This includes rental reviews, mortgage valuations, market valuations and insurance assessments. Phil also specialises in the valuation of telecommunications sites, consultancy advising and negotiating the sale, leasing and management of property for Telecom and other Corporate and Government clients.

Matt joined Telfer Young in July of 2007, having completed a Bachelor of Business Studies (majoring in Financial Economics and Valuation and Property Management) at Massey University in Auckland earlier that year. He is aiming for registration towards the end of 2010. Matt joined the PINZ Graduate Committee at the beginning of 2009 and conducts a weekly blog on the PINZ website. Matt works with Trevor Walker, undertaking a diverse range of valuation work all over Auckland, predominantly with a focus on commercial property.

Mark joined TelferYoung in July 2007 while finishing a Bachelor of Property at Auckland University. After completing his studies in 2008 and going on his OE he returned to Telfer Young in March 2009 to begin his career in valuation. Mark works with Lewis Esplin on the valuation of commercial and industrial properties throughout Auckland.

Aimee joined TelferYoung Auckland in May 2008 as a graduate valuer and assists in a wide range of valuation work including commercial, industrial and residential properties. Aimee is the current social chair on the Auckland Branch of the New Zealand Institute of Valuers and Property Institute of New Zealand. She studied at the University of Auckland and is working towards registration.

Weston has 34 years valuation experience within the Auckland region. He initially worked for the Valuation Department in Auckland and Takapuna before joining a large private practice on the North Shore in 1985. He has subsequently worked primarily in the rural sphere; specialised in a wide range of compensation work; block land prime for residential development; and coastal residential land.

Bob's lengthy property experience spans central Government and regional authority public works acquisition, regional authority and public company property management and Government valuer roles, followed by some 20 years private practice property consultancy and valuation. His recent experience includes a wide range of urban property types in the greater Auckland Metropolitan area, with emphasis on all types of valuations for commercial and industrial properties, plus public works acquisitions and telecommunications sites. He is a trained arbitrator and mediator and recognised Construction Contracts Act adjudicator.
