Mike Penrose

Mike is a past Chairman of the TelferYoung Group. He is a qualified urban and rural valuer with over 30 years experience. He specialises within the horticultural, energy, telecommunications, hotel, motel, rest-home and specialised property sectors. Mike is also a plant and machinery valuer and has experience in business valuations. He has extensive involvement in the telecommunications sector for a range of national clients. He acts as a consultant and valuer to three local authorities and undertakes infrastructural and asset valuations for these. Specialist assignments include rating urban demand and leasehold reviews. Mike is also an associate of the Arbitrators & Mediators Institute, and is experienced as an expert witness and arbitrator.

Trevor Kitchin

Trevor has experience in the Northern to Central Hawke's Bay areas, covering rural farming properties. He also covers residential, rural lifestyle and horticultural properties in the Napier/Hastings areas. Trevor is Valuer and Consultant for the Hawkes Bay Regional Council and Napier City Councils leasehold portfolios. He is also a Farm Management Consultant.

Max Plested

Max has 37 years valuation experience in the Hawke's Bay region. He specialises in the commercial and industrial sector and in motel and hotel valuations. He is Consultant Valuer to the Napier City Council, has experience in leasehold issues and was a Central Region Councillor to the New Zealand Institute of Valuers between 1995 and 2000 being Vice President in 1999-2000. Max is experienced as an expert witness and an arbitrator.

Kayan Ho
Valuer | Registered Valuer; BCA, Grad.Dip in Business Studies (Urban Valuation)
Kayan joined TelferYoung (Hawkes Bay) Limited as a Graduate Valuer in 2005 and became a Registered Valuer in 2009. Kayan is currently on extended maternity leave.
Kayan holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration Degree in Money and Finance from Victoria University of Wellington and a Graduate Diploma in Business Studies (Urban Valuation) from Massey University. She is an affiliate member of the Property Institute of New Zealand. In addition to English, Kayan speaks Cantonese and Madarin.

Susie Penrose
Graduate Valuer; BBS (VPM)
Susie completed her BBS degree at Massey University Palmerston North in 2009, and returned to Hawkes Bay as a Graduate Valuer in early 2010. She is working towards registration and is assisting in a range of valuation sectors including telecommunications, Treaty of Waitangi Settlement Claims, and other client advisory work.

Rachelle completed her BCOM/BPROP conjoint degree at the University of Auckland in 2009 and moved down to the Hawkes Bay shortly thereafter joining the TelferYoung team in March 2010 in the role of Graduate Valuer. Rachelle is working towards registration and assisting mainly in the residential valuation field.
