The North Canterbury office of TelferYoung (Canterbury) is based in Rangiora. The practice specialises in the geographical area north of the Waimakariri river, encompassing the Waimakariri and Hurunui Districts. Since September 2016 TelferYoung has incorporated the firm of North Canterbury Valuations.
The TelferYoung North Canterbury office opened in September 2016 and is located at 130A Percival Street in the heart of Rangiora. This is a high profile first floor office on the corner of Percival and Queen Street, opposite Victoria Park and within walking distance of High Street.
The opportunity to enhance the North Canterbury coverage by TelferYoung arose in 2016 with the acquisition of the long-standing and highly regarded property consultancy firm of North Canterbury Valuations.
The Rangiora team comprises Nik Butler, who is the local director, and Denis Milne, both experienced and highly regarded valuers. Nik lives on a rural lifestyle property at Sefton with his young family. Valuing for over twenty years, he has been part of the TelferYoung family since 2013. Denis will be well known to many local folk, being a Waikuku resident and principal of North Canterbury Valuations in Rangiora for over thirty years.
Nik and Denis have an extensive range of property knowledge and expertise. They are able to deliver advice on residential, commercial and rural property, along with going concern and other specialised entities. This includes rental assessments, insurance, compensation, dwelling and curtilage, trust transfers and mortgage lending assessments.
Having a committed valuation and advisory presence in the local North Canterbury market has wide ranging benefits for clients including increased market awareness and accuracy of advice which in turn leads to better solutions. Nik and Denis can provide the expertise and professionalism of local valuers while drawing on the recognised benefits of TelferYoung. This includes a comprehensive knowledge base, advanced valuation IT tools and robust research and reporting programmes.
The North Canterbury practice is well supported by the wider TelferYoung Canterbury group which has a large central city located office in Christchurch and an office Timaru.
Along with Nik, there are seven TelferYoung Christchurch based directors who have a close association with North Canterbury. Chris Stanley is on the board of TelferYoung Ltd and was recently appointed as national group chairman.
