Henry has been with TelferYoung since 2018, becoming a Registered Valuer in 2021. He specialises in rural valuation across Northland, primarily in the dairy, sheep and beef, forestry, horticulture and rural lifestyle sectors.

Since being in Northland, Henry has enjoyed viewing and learning about the different classes of rural property from Wellsford to Houhora, under the guidance of Alistair Nicholls who has had 50+ years of experience in Northland. The vast range of soil types and subtropical climate has led to the expansion of horticulture, particularly in Kerikeri and the Far North. Henry enjoys the range of work that has been undertaken working for TelferYoung, with no two properties being the same.

Henry grew up on a family finishing farm at the end of South Head on the Kaipara Harbour. He attended school at Mt. Albert Grammar, before undertaking a rural valuation degree at Lincoln University. As part of his degree, Henry undertook summer work on a large station in Waikaia, a dairy farm in Te Awamutu and has worked on and off at his parents’ beef finishing and maize cropping property since a young age.

In his spare time, Henry enjoys squash, hunting, fishing, rugby and exploring Northland.
