BACKGROUND

Phil has over 25 years experience in valuation. Since 2004, he has been a director and shareholder at TelferYoung (Auckland) Limited. 

He has a wide knowledge of both residential and commercial/industrial property including valuations for rental, market value, matrimonial settlements, compensation, litigation, peer reviews, asset and insurance.

SPECIALISATION

• Residential – Valuer for the Glen Innes government-led redevelopment project
• Residential – High value properties in the central and eastern parts of Auckland (Including Valuation Ordering Panel)
• Small Blocks / Subdivision – Assessment of land suitable for residential development in central and southern parts of Auckland
• Telecommunications – rental assessments for specialised cellular and other transmitting equipment in both Auckland and throughout NZ
• Apartment Hotels – rental assessments for the largest NZ Apartment Hotel Chain in the Auckland region
• Property Consultant for NZ State School new site acquisition programme
• Experience in attending both the District and High Court in representing clients as an expert valuer

PERSONAL INTERESTS

Phil enjoys sporting activities and in more recent years, he has been coaching and managing soccer and tennis teams for his boys. Both Phil and his sons like playing golf when possible and doing other activities like mountain biking in Kinloch at the family bach. The family have also travelled extensively overseas on many occasions giving his sons a wide view of the world.
