Rod specialises in the valuation of rural property including rural-residential, small holdings, lifestyle, forestry land, horticultural and pastoral land. His services are in demand from clients through the top half of the South Island. 

Together, with valuation and consultancy, he is experienced as an arbitrator in rural matters, and has acted as expert witness in various litigation and resource management issues.
